Novig is transitioning from our Sweepstakes Platform to a CFTC-regulated Designated Contract Market (DCM). The DCM replaces the current platform — there will be no period of time where both are running. This page covers what you need to do before the cutover and what to expect after. Our targeted cutover date is August 4th, meaning August 3rd will be the last day of the sweeps platform.

FAQ

What happens to my positions and cash?

Prior to cutover, we will be closing all open positions at fair market value. This applies to every member of the exchange, not just Liquidity Providers. For existing sweeps Liquidity Providers with contracts only: the quarterly $1,000 service provider fee will be added into your new balance in whole at cutover. When money moves from the sweeps platform to the regulated DCM, the transferred balance will be post-fee if you are fee based, and post-rev-share if you are rev share. For rev share, this means your balance + (performance bonus − rev share) is the amount to be transferred.

Do my stored market and event IDs carry over?

No — reset every mapping you have. The DCM issues its own identifiers, so event, market, and outcome UUIDs are all new at cutover. The Chiefs @ Bills moneyline you had cached under one market UUID on the sweeps platform has a different market UUID on the DCM, even though the game and the market type are identical. Delete any stored mapping to Novig UUIDs rather than migrating it, and rebuild from GET /nbx/v2/emm/events and GET /nbx/v2/emm/markets/open when your system starts. If you cross-reference vendor data, re-map on opticOddsId — see Optic Odds IDs. Market-specific WebSocket subscriptions need the new UUIDs too; an old one is rejected with MARKET_INACTIVE.

What happens to the 5 second taker delay?

At cutover, the 5 second taker delay will be removed and all marketable orders will match immediately.

What happens to the credit system?

The credit system has been removed and replaced with just-in-time (JIT) collateral. In practice this means your balance is only deducted when an order fills — you will be able to place resting orders without decreasing your available balance. This change shipped ahead of cutover, on July 29, 2026, so it is already live on the current platform and carries over to the DCM unchanged.

Will there be a maker rebate?

Yes — post cutover we will have a maker rebate, calculated as 50% of taker trading fees on live markets. There will be no maker fee, and no opt-in or contract is required to collect maker rebates.

Will RFQs be available on the DCM?

Yes — we will be offering RFQs on the DCM. If you’re interested in quoting parlays via RFQ, reach out to caleb.henry@novig.com and we will get you onboarded.
